What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze public records requests and provide timely responses, ensuring compliance with the Public Disclosure Act
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including management and legal teams, to manage complex disclosure requests
- Review records for exempt information and coordinate with the Attorney General's Office as necessary
- Train staff on public disclosure processes and assist with the management of sensitive or confidential requests
- Prepare records for public inspection and oversee the review process, ensuring legal and procedural requirements are met
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Six (6) years of experience in administrative support, forms, and/or records management
- Completion of college-level coursework
- Proven ability to manage high volumes of requests and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working with legal or regulatory frameworks, particularly related to public records
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with the Public Disclosure Act and records management practices
- Experience in a government or public service role
- Advanced degree or additional coursework related to public administration or environmental policy
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Skills in using records management software or databases
