What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Receive, screen, and schedule appointments for callers and walk-in customers for individual and group programs
- Maintain current schedules for staff and manage daily scheduling to ensure timely communication with customers
- Enroll and schedule customers for briefs, workshops, classes, and individual appointments
- Participate in emergency response exercises and execute assigned responsibilities related to emergency assistance
- Ensure accurate entry and tracking of information and referral services in the required systems
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED and two years of demonstrated experience providing administrative support in a medical or social service office
- Excellent computer and office automation software skills
- Experience in customer service and administrative support
- Ability to multi-task and manage multi-line telephone systems
- Strong understanding and empathy for diverse backgrounds of sailors and their families
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of the FFSMIS system
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Experience in a fast-paced, crisis-oriented environment
- Strong detail-oriented and self-motivated work ethic
- Previous experience in a healthcare or social service setting
