What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Schedule, cancel, and register outpatient visits and procedures across multiple ambulatory clinics
- Obtain and verify patient guarantor information to keep records up-to-date
- Communicate scheduling modifications and notify personnel of changes due to patient cancellations
- Consult with referring physicians to ensure completeness of written and electronic orders
- Respond to patient communications and address needs or complaints in a timely manner
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent
- State criminal background check and Federal background check as required for regulated areas
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Completion of mandatory training programs related to patient care
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare scheduling or administrative role
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in patient interaction or customer service
