Job Description

- Serves as Central/South Training Administrator.
- Serves as lead trainer for new OIG staff in OIG’s Central and Southern Bureaus.
- Serves as an external liaison and trainer for personnel at state operated facilities and community agencies.
- Travels to conduct internal and external trainings and attend events.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college.
- Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.
- Five (5) years of professional experience investigating sensitive matters.
- Three (3) years of professional experience working with individuals with developmental or mental disabilities.
- Three (3) years of professional experience training investigative staff.
- Two (2) years of professional experience writing complex investigative reports.
- Two (2) years of professional experience handling sensitive information.
- One (1) year of professional experience performing public speaking.
- Requires the ability to travel.

Position Overview
Under the direction of the Bureau Chief of Policy, Legislation, and Training, oversees the Department of Human Services Office of Inspector General’s (OIG) internal and external investigative training efforts in its Central and Southern Bureaus. The Central/Southern Training Administrator will be responsible for ensuring OIG has a robust, effective training curriculum regarding abuse and neglect investigations. The Central/Southern Training Administrator will be responsible for arranging and conducting training for new OIG investigative staff. The selected candidate will also conduct trainings at facilities and agencies regarding investigative requirements and techniques. The selected candidate will advise the Bureau Chief of Policy, Legislation, and Training regarding necessary internal policy changes related to training. Since the Central/Southern Training Administrator will be required to conduct most trainings in person, will require travel. The Office of Inspector General’s goal is to ensure that individuals with disabilities are treated with respect, dignity, and care.
