      CEO Communications Lead

      Remote opportunity to residents of OR, WA, ID and UT

      The Opportunity:

      This is an opportunity to work directly with the CEO of a $13 billion company in the health care sector. You will partner with the CEO to hone his messaging and communications strategy as he seeks to inspire thousands of employees and share our company’s mission and vision with external audiences through storytelling across multiple channels.

      Primary Job Purpose

      Serve as a key partner to the CEO, understanding and communicating his vision in his voice through strategic and compelling communications that drive the company’s strategic priorities.

      Clearly articulate and integrate our vision, mission and values into the CEO’s communication platform to engage and align employees in executing company goals in service of the millions of lives we serve.

      Translate customer and employee experiences into memorable CEO storytelling opportunities suitable for internal and external audiences.

      In partnership with the internal and external communication teams, deliver on a comprehensive CEO communications strategy encompassing objectives, key messages, channels, tactics and analytics and aligned to the external and internal communications strategies.

      Develop and oversee content for all employee-facing CEO communications, including events, written content and videos along with messaging for public and private speaking events.

      Ensure that all forms of communication reflect our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

      Travel with the CEO and other C-Level executives for internal and external communications events across the four-state footprint of the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Utah). In some unique cases, travel may be required with very little prior notice.

      Must demonstrate the character, maturity and judgment necessary to maintain absolute confidence. Highly trustworthy and able to handle sensitive business information with discretion and unconditional confidentiality.

      Important Attributes of the Ideal Candidate:

      To be a strategic sounding board, partner and advisor to the CEO and others regarding when and how to use the CEO’s voice on issues important to various segments of our audience including employees, customers and partners.

      To be proactive and anticipate what the CEO should be prepared to say, how to say it and how to craft a message to align most appropriately with the expected audience.

      To ensure that the CEO’s messages have been crafted and vetted to be appropriate for the audience and their perspectives and allegiances.

      A planner who proactively collaborates with the CEO, Chief of Staff and others to ensure critical speeches are scheduled and materials prepared well in advance, without last-minute surprises.

      Should be a well-rounded business leader with a genuine interest and curiosity about business and the ability to make connections between disparate economic events, shifting political winds, social changes, popular culture, etc. Have the ability to connect these dots (and respond accordingly) due to a solid business understanding and social awareness.

      Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above :

      The ideal candidate would have a bachelor's degree and fifteen years’ corporate communications or agency experience including working directly for a CEO in a communications role or equivalent combination of education and experience. A health care background is preferred, but not required.

      Demonstrated success messaging to an employee base of over 5,000 people with a wide diversity in social and political viewpoints preferred.

      Experience messaging within a regulated environment a plus.

      The expected hiring range for a CEO Communications Lead is $142,500 - 193,500 depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location. The bonus target for this position is 15 % . The current full salary range for this role is $134,000 - 218,500.

      Base pay is just part of the compensation package at Cambia that is supplemented with an exceptional 401(k) match, bonus opportunity and other benefits.
