What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate and participate in the coding of medical information from complex records
- Perform concurrent audits of coding data during the billing process and communicate discrepancies
- Review and educate staff on documentation requirements and coding guidelines
- Analyze claim denials and troubleshoot for resolutions to prevent future issues
- Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P) designation required
- Minimum of three years related experience and/or training in coding
- Experience with OB Hospitalist and/or OBGYN preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) required
- Familiarity with HCA/Cerner systems required

- Experience with Next Gen and OBR systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret technical instructions
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate understanding among staff
