What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze and code multi-specialty profee surgery cases performed in the operating room
- Ensure coding compliance with regulatory standards through documentation review
- Identify trends and problems in medical documentation, providing recommendations for solutions
- Assist with billing and documentation through daily interactions with physicians
- Address inquiries related to CPT and ICD-10 coding
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
- Certification as either a Certified Procedural Coder (CPC) or CCS-Physician-based (CCS-P)
- Minimum of 5 years of CPT and diagnostic coding experience in a healthcare provider or third-party payer setting
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
