What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze and code multi-specialty profee surgery cases performed in the operating room, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Review documentation to confirm accurate coding for various specialties, including General Surgery, Plastics, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and Otolaryngology
- Identify trends and problems in medical documentation, recommending potential solutions
- Assist with billing and documentation through daily interactions with physicians regarding inquiries related to CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards and regulations

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
- Certification as a Certified Procedural Coder (CPC) or CCS-Physician-based (CCS-P)
- Minimum of 5 years of CPT and Diagnostic coding experience in a healthcare provider or third-party payer setting
- Strong clinical knowledge preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

- Experience working in a multi-specialty healthcare environment
- Familiarity with coding software and electronic health records
- Additional certifications in coding or related fields
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a coding department
