What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform tasks related to personal hygiene and physical comfort of residents as required or requested
- Assist with treatments and therapies under the direction of licensed personnel
- Serve and assist residents with nourishment and feeding
- Observe residents and document changes in their physical conditions, attitudes, and appetites
- Ensure a safe working environment by following proper procedures and utilizing safety devices
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must hold a current CNA license and be registered on the Nurse Aide Registry
- Sincere desire to work with individuals who may be frail and aged
- Sense of responsibility, moral integrity, and good judgment
- Ability to recognize and identify symptoms and handle behavioral problems
- Previous experience in a hospital or nursing home setting preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Formal training in nursing assistance
- Experience working with elderly or frail individuals
- Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with safety protocols in a healthcare setting
