Job SummaryThis leader has accountability and oversight, and supervises the daily activities of the Child Care Services II. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring individual and team work tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications- Require an AA or BS in Early Childhood education or BA/BS in Elementary Education or AA/ BS or Child Development Associate waiver with 12 hours child development, or Child Development Specialist/ Child Development Associate and five years experience working with young children.
- Require Florida Child Care Director credential.
- Require five (5) to eight (8) years of experience working with young children.
- Require a minimum of 12 hours in child development.
- Require compliance with educational requirements established by Sarasota County Child Care Ordinance.
Preferred Qualifications- Prefer expert interpersonal skills.
- Prefer the ability to work and plan with other caregivers in a team setting.
