      Description

      AVAILABILITY:

      • Part-time, 5-25 hours a week
      • Schedules vary within these times:
        • Shift 1: Monday - Wednesday (3:30 PM - 7:30 PM), Satuday - Sunday (8:30 AM - 12:30 PM)

      JOB SUMMARY:

      Greet all parents and children and interact with the children to ensure that they have an enjoyable time in child care, and assists Supervisor.

      Accountabilities:

      1. Documents all employee incidents and informs Supervisor
      2. Trains and assists all new employees
      3. Assists in providing coverage in the event of a scheduling issue
      4. Shows initiative, takes control, and stays calm in the event of an incident
      5. Interacts with children through active play, structured activities and programs
      6. Provides appropriate disciplinary actions when working with children
      7. Creates a safe, friendly environment in the child care area with quality supervision, focused attention, and caring service for the members and their children
      8. Ensures registrations and check in/out policies and procedures are followed
      9. Reports any accidents or injuries immediately, and documents using incident report forms
      10. Enforces safety and security of all children by following rules and policies
      11. Assists in care for children (feeding of infants, first aid, clean-up, etc.)
      12. Regularly cleans child care area, toys, etc.
      13. Attends mandatory meetings
      14. Checks children in and out of Child Care using member database
      15. Conduct locker room checks and other actions to ensure a clean club
      16. Follows all health and safety requirements such as, but not limited to, physical distancing, regular surface cleaning, cough/sneeze etiquette, regular hand washing, and not coming to work when sick
      17. Promptly and thoroughly reviews all requested health and safety training provided, asking questions for any topic not clearly understood
      18. Maintains regular and predictable attendance
      19. Communicates effectively with members, coworkers and supervisor verbally and in writing
      20. Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
      21. Other duties as assigned

      Requirements

      Education/Experience:

      Degree: H.S. Diploma or equivalent or in progress; plus 6 months experience with basic child care needs, or 3 months experience at California family fitness or 6 months experience in hospitality/ customer service

      Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      Knowledge of basic child care methods and concepts, and sufficient computer
