What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Act as a leader and liaison among management, physicians, and clinical/non-clinical personnel
- Apply coding knowledge (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) for claim edits and partnerships
- Research and clarify coding issues and determine payment compliance
- Lead the Edit Expansion Committee and oversee vendor partnerships
- Compile and coordinate performance reporting for various vendor initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum one certification required: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Professional Biller through AAPC
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience required
- Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding skills
- Ability to mentor less experienced staff and new hires
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Health Insurance/Managed Care
