      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Lead strategy and investigation for complex professional liability and medical malpractice claims from initial report through final resolution
      - Direct external defense counsel on case action plans, ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines
      - Establish precise loss reserves and execute National Claims Committee reports for significant high-exposure matters
      - Negotiate directly with plaintiff attorneys and represent the organization at mediations, trials, and depositions
      - Collaborate with Risk Management to translate claim outcomes into improvements in patient safety and liability reduction

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable job-specific experience
      - Minimum of 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred
      - Strong negotiation skills and experience in litigation management
      - Excellent analytical and reporting skills
      - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - 2 years of leadership or management experience in a healthcare setting
      - Familiarity with medical malpractice claims and risk management principles
      - Proven track record of successful negotiation outcomes
      - Experience with financial and regulatory reporting in a healthcare context
      - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
