What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review, analyze, and process healthcare claims for accuracy and compliance with policies
- Maintain quality standards by ensuring proper handling of claims according to company procedures
- Complete claims tasks in a timely manner while meeting production requirements
- Provide direct client contact and support to ensure customer and member satisfaction
- Support management with projects and special requests
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in healthcare claims examination or adjudication
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and healthcare billing procedures
- Expertise in multiple claims processing platforms is a plus
- Prior experience with both manual and automated claims processing
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a role that involves direct client contact in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with stop-loss renewal processes
- Proven ability to practice effective follow-up procedures for task completion
- Experience with training and mentoring new employees
- Understanding of regulatory standards related to healthcare claims processing
