- Organize and manage the daily operation of the School-to-Career program and assist with Career & Technical Education programming duties.
- Initiate and maintain a tremendous amount of contact with students in the STC program and the employers in the community.
- This person will need to facilitate the School-to-Career program at Fremont High School:
- Notify students of orientation meetings and assist with securing STC sites
- Follow up with students until sites are confirmed (may need to assist in locating sites for students, and students should be instructed to have several sites in mind prior to going through orientation).
- Collect STC paperwork by established deadlines, which includes contracts, bi-weekly journals, resumes, etc.)
- Coordinate grading/credit with the FHS Registrar.
- Prepare notes and announcements to students regarding late assignments, attendance, etc.
- Serve as the FHS contact person for STC businesses
- In coordination with Assistant Principals and Attendance Secretary, this person will need to:
- Monitor student status, attendance and punctuality on a regular basis, and develop a system for doing this.
- Monitor student check-in and check-out at the STC desk and in collaboration with the Attendance Secretary.
- Make contact by phone, email, or in-person with employers to verify attendance at least one time per student per quarter.
- Address discipline problems regarding attendance, punctuality, grooming, etc.
- Monitor the CTE entrance for all students throughout the school day.
- Serve as hall monitor between classes throughout the day.
- Maintain a daily presence at FHS to assist and/or address any problems or concerns, such as taking phone calls, answering emails, etc. from parents and employers regarding student performance, attendance, etc.
- For the Communications 10 Interview Fair, and in conjunction with the Communications 10 Teachers, this person will:
- Contact potential interviewers for 4 of these events (one each quarter).
- Contact and schedule 14-15 interviewers to conduct mock interviews for each Interview Fair.
- Send thank you notes/cards/letters to interviewers.
- In conjunction with the Post Secondary Fairs (College/Business/Career) and in coordination with the FHS Counseling Department and the Career Readiness Counselor, this person will:
- Coordinate the Annual Fall College/Career/Business Fairs which will include scheduling the date and facility, publicity, thank you notes, coordinating table set up as well as all other details involving the event, monitoring FHS student attendance, and arrange for other area schools’ arrivals and logistics involved.
- In coordination with the Counseling Department and the Career Readiness Counselor, this person will:
- Promote and invite local businesses/employers and the military to come to FHS during the lunch periods to share information with students (select dates, arrange table set up, and coordinate publicity as well as follow up with thank you notes)
- In regards to testing and in coordination with FHS Counseling Department and FHS SpEd department (for transition verification), this person will:
- Coordinate the ASVAB and other appropriate assessments which will include scheduling dates and facilities, publicity, student registration, and monitoring and verifying FHS student attendance.

Job Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Employment: 9 months per year, 7.5 hrs per day, scheduled for student days only
Salary:
School to Career Site Coordinator : $16.16 - $17.36 per hour depending on experience;
If bilingual in English/Spanish, starting rate is $17.36 - $18.98 per hour depending on experience
