What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process new referrals, verifying patient eligibility and documenting coverage details for medications and infusion services
- Calculate estimated patient financial responsibility and communicate this information effectively
- Initiate and secure prior authorization and pre-determination requests, including reviewing clinical documents
- Maintain communication with patients, referral sources, and other departments regarding referral and coverage status
- Assist patients in enrolling in financial assistance programs as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of home infusion specialty pharmacy and/or medical intake/reimbursement experience
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
- Ability to multi-task and manage numerous referrals in a fast-paced environment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of CPR+ software
- Experience with prior authorization processes specific to home infusion
