What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process new referrals by verifying patient eligibility and documenting coverage details
- Perform benefit verification for patient insurance plans and calculate estimated financial responsibilities
- Initiate and secure prior authorization and pre-determination requests
- Communicate with patients, referral sources, and other departments regarding referral status and updates
- Generate new patient start-of-care paperwork and assist patients with financial assistance programs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in home infusion specialty pharmacy or medical intake/reimbursement
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
- Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of HIPAA regulations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with CPR+ system
- Familiarity with specialty infusion for prior authorization and benefits verification
