What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process new referrals by verifying patient eligibility and coordinating benefits
- Perform benefit verification for patient insurance plans, documenting coverage details
- Calculate patient financial responsibility based on benefit verification and payer contracts
- Initiate and secure prior authorizations, including reviewing clinical documents
- Communicate with patients and referral sources regarding referral status and coverage updates
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of home infusion specialty pharmacy and/or medical intake/reimbursement experience
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity expectations
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Working knowledge of CPR+
- Experience with home infusion prior authorization/benefits verification
