What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process new referrals by verifying patient eligibility and coordinating benefits
- Document patient insurance coverage, including medications and infusion services
- Calculate estimated patient financial responsibility based on benefit verification
- Initiate and follow up on prior authorization and medical review requests
- Communicate with patients and referral sources regarding referral status and coverage updates
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of home infusion specialty pharmacy and/or medical intake/reimbursement experience
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
- Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity expectations
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with CPR+ software
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Familiarity with interpreting payor contract fee schedules based on NDC and HCPCS units
