Support Senior Regional/Client Executives in producing and retaining profitable business in the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) market for the Large Group segment (i.e., 151+ eligible employees). Support the day to day operations of the sales and marketing efforts of Sentara Health Plans EAP.
Manage the internal workflow and process requirements associated with new, renewing and expansion business quotes and implementation.
Interact with Consultants, Brokers, Benefits Administrators and Sentara Health Plans business units to achieve these objectives.
Respond to proposals and other prospect opportunities providing telephonic and/or field sales support as directed by Sales Leadership and Senior Regional/Client Executives.
Assist with enrollment meetings, support health fairs and participate in market events representing Optima EAP in a positive and professional manner.
Conduct pertinent research and data collection, interacting with key staff and participate in relevant committees and task forces.
This position must also own and edit a variety of master documents, and work on special projects as needed.
Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience required or HS grad and 8 years related experience.
Must obtain a Life and Health Insurance License within 90 days of hire.
Driver's License - Other/National
Related experience includes sales or client services, health insurance industry experience required.
Group Insurance Large Group (151+ eligible employees) experience preferred

Status: Full-time, permanent position (40 hours)
Standard working hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F
Location: Remote in South Hampton Roads (Norfolk, VA Beach, Suffolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth), Peninsula (Newport News., Yorktown and Hampton) or Northeast North Carolina (Moyock, Elizabeth City); With travel to 2x a month in 1330 Sentara Park office, plus seasonal client and broker meetings/events
