Supports the extraction of data using a variety of a programming languages, such as SQL, SAS, Python, or Spark/Scala, and applies knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems housed on both on-premise and off-premise (hybrid) platforms
Connects provisioned data across multiple sources and performs necessary transformations utilizing both technical, business, and process knowledge to transform data into meaningful values and insights
Performs quantitative techniques and analysis on customer, transaction, and performance data with the guidance from other analysts and supervisors, based on questions provided by business partners, and provides actionable insights for business partners to make informed decisions.
Follows requirements developed by other analysts and supervisors to perform required research, analytics, and exploration on appropriate and accurate data sources to provide appropriate deliverables
Communicates complex subjects in a simple and engaging manner to non-technical and technical business partners using software such as Power Point, Word, Excel, and Tableau
Assists with conducting quality comparison checks on analysis output and escalates data inconsistencies, gaps, or issues to leadership
Follows quality workflow process and documentation requirements to adhere to standards and provide business continuity

Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting analytical work efforts for various projects within a Line of Business or business discipline. Key responsibilities include leveraging databases to acquire client and performance data, transforming extracted data into meaningful insights and trends, and delivering those insights to leaders to make complex business decisions. Job expectations include working with business partners to understand, coordinate, and deliver agreed upon priorities while communicating complex data outputs and delivering the appropriate summary and data required.The Client Quantitative Analyst I would be responsible for supporting Consumer At-Risk Persons (ARP) and/or Consumer and Small Business Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance within Client Protection. The analyst will lead data-driven efforts to improve client experience and protect clients, as well as the bank, from fraudulent behavior. Ideal candidates will understand customer, product, and time-series (i.e., workflow) data; will be able to “translate” complex business problems into analytics projects; and will be able to provide actionable intelligence to various levels of management, while driving a culture of compliance and operational excellence. Specific duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Deploy business intelligence and reporting solutions to support Consumer and Small Business AML & ARP strategy and/or investigations
• Research and develop analytical methods designed to improve the client protection program process
• Deploy analytical methods as production monitoring processes with emphasis on ongoing performance measurement and optimization, as well as comprehensive process documentation
• Demonstrate influence through clear and crisp presentation of analytical results and recommendations to senior management
• Provide routine and ad hoc reporting, measurement & monitoring of information
• Prepare compelling dashboards for management and business partners
• See the “story” in data, and clearly and appropriately summarize to audiences including audit and regulatory bodies
• Build strong partnerships and collaborate effectively with business, risk, and technology partners

Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of technology, technology internal control, audit risk or compliance experience for a large and complex organization
• Understanding of analytic, visualization, reporting, & query software. Experience building & publishing Tableau dashboards.
• Project management experience coordinating processes, procedures, and large technology implementations in partnership with stakeholders.
• Understanding of relational database environments and distributed file systems as well as programming experience (i.e. SAS, SQL, Hadoop)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to interact and influence across all levels of the organization
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to document complex processes to improve business continuity, and maintain audit and regulatory credibility
• Highly motivated, proactive and a self-starter; strong sense of ownership & ability to create and execute plans without daily oversight
• Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to connect the dots, and a love of problem-solving
• Participation in cross-functional teams and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team
Desired Qualifications:
• Masters' and/or Bachelor's
• Knowledge of financial and banking products, policies, operations and applicable procedures
• Experience supporting highly regulated initiatives in large, complex financial institutions
• Experience using or administering a SharePoint site
• Experience using Alteryx
