- Perform casework including eligibility assessments, document review and collection, form completion, and case submission.
- Communicate with client contacts effectively regarding the progress of the immigration process including document collection, filing of applications, and anticipated finalization dates.
- Responsible for handholding clients through the immigration process by responding to client inquiries and resolving client issues with empathy and professionalism through timely, proactive communication via email.
- Conduct office hours on-site at the client’s offices with the Senior Associate to answer client’s questions, collect documentation, and shepherd them through the case process.
- At all times proactively perform work activities for our clients as a professional business advisor; provide exceptional professional guidance and dedicated care to their employees
- Drafting email correspondence, letters and documentation to clients, government agencies, and colleagues while ensuring that communications are technically accurate and professionally written using standard templates and protocols.
- Assist with drafting and filing applications and petitions with government agencies
- Identify key issues that may impact immigration cases such as travel plans, dependants, and health issues, to ensure the client is updated on the status of each application and anticipated issues or timelines.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key client contacts and keep them informed of any necessary changes, delays, or other key information.
- Gather and maintain confidential client contact information in our proprietary case management system
- Provide status updates to clients and senior level team members
- Be responsible for accurately updating our case management system with client data
- Build knowledge of firm, immigration case types and client processes
- Meet assigned deadlines and communicate case progress/status/issues to supervisor
- Demonstrate flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team
- Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree or some college
- At least one-year of customer service experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to convey and obtain information to internal team members and our clients
- Exemplary customer service skills prioritizing client needs.
- Excellent organizational skills; a meticulous level of attention to detail
- Experience using various computer systems, including Microsoft Excel
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
- The ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and escalate case issues to supervisor
- Desire to contribute to a positive work environment, effectively collaborate and promote teamwork
