High school diploma or GED required, with advanced course work and training highly desirable.
Basic medical terminology, insurance billing, and computer familiarity is preferred.
Three years of experience in automated scheduling in a physician office preferred and multi-provider medical office experience highly desired.
Superior oral communication skills and spelling accuracy required.
Excellent customer service orientation and proven experience in personnel development and teamwork required.
Effective interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Basic office equipment familiarity and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions required.
Incumbent must maintain a positive disposition at all times
Comfortable with regularly verifying and processing insurance eligibility and obtaining authorization requests, including verifying personal credentials with external partners to obtain this information (e.g., ID.me for identity verification for VA insurance coordination).

Job Description:POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinic Receptionist/Scheduler schedules, greets and registers patients and provides reception, routing phone calls to the appropriate party and collecting payments when necessary. This position ensures the cost-effective and efficient flow of communications when assisting patients with appointment scheduling. Ensures optimal customer service and accurate and efficient patient registration. Provides clerical support to the clinic on a daily basis.
