What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Authorize incoming/outgoing referrals and prior authorization of procedures
- Process referrals from primary and specialty clinics
- Contact insurance companies and provide necessary documentation for patient authorization
- Expedite the referral process and ensure patients receive necessary services
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of referrals and authorizations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience in a similar position
- Experience and/or training with medical terminology and coding
- Experience and/or training with computer applications
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience and/or training with delegated health care services
