- Manage administrative intake of members
- Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
- Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
- Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents/triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
- Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers
- Extract and review of fax requests for medical or clinical services, and ensure that these requests are assigned to the correct individual(s)
- Access electronic member files using policy or id number
- Determine member eligibility
- Provide support to field staff in locating providers who can assist our members. This will include calling/ emailing / faxing multiple providers
- Mail member materials, including care plans, and open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence via hard copy or e-mail
- Fax care plans to providers on the member’s care team
- Follow protocols to task requests appropriately
- Reference automated job aid tools via the computer to identify appropriate procedures when needed
- Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendance.
- Maintain Confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA Requirements.

- High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of experience working within the healthcare industry or with healthcare insurance
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents) and Outlook (email and calendar management) and ability to use multiple web applications
- Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
- Reside in the state of New Jersey with the ability to travel 10% of the time to go into the office at 1 Tower Center Blvd, East Brunswick, NJ 08816 for quarterly meetings
- 1 + years of experience working with medical terminology
- Clerical or administrative support background
- Experience with working in a call center
- Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
- Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
- Prior work at home experience
- Knowledge of ICD - 9 and CPT codes
- Strong oral and written communication skills — specifically telephone skills
- Demonstrated effective organizational skills and scheduling skills as observed in day-to-day work
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail, as observed in day-to-day work
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude at all times

The Clinical Administrative Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service. Supports the teams in meeting clinical and service goals.
Schedule: This is a full-time (40 hours/week) telecommute position. Schedule is Monday through Friday an 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm EST
Location: Reside in the state of New Jersey

New Jersey Residents Only: The hourly range for New Jersey residents is $16.00 to $31.44 .
