What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform daily audits on client data for completeness and accuracy of coding
- Utilize a client-centered approach when reviewing claims, appeals, and record reviews
- Monitor acceptance rates for assigned clients and assist in proactively detecting negative deviations
- Provide feedback to Management/Development Teams on changes to enhance editing and efficiency
- Become familiar with claims payment policy and processing
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Active professional license as a Registered Nurse in the current state of residence
- 1 year of professional experience in providing direct patient care
- Coding Certification Preferred (Outpatient - CPC, CCS or CCS-P) or willingness to obtain one
- Willingness to obtain NY Independent Insurance Adjuster licensure
- Strong working knowledge of medical procedures, conditions, illnesses, and treatment practices
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Leadership experience preferred
- Intermediate computer skill set level with a strong foundation and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Training for this position lasts approximately 12 weeks and can be completed remotely
- Targeted start date is May 13, 2024
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
