      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct clinical assessments for short- and long-term disability claims, explaining medical findings in relation to function and documented restrictions/limitations
      - Provide written and verbal clinical input through walk-ins, file reviews, team sessions, and consultation hours
      - Recommend independent medical exams (IME), functional capacity evaluations (FCE), or peer reviews, documenting outcomes appropriately
      - Stay current on medical practices and clinical guidelines, applying them effectively in claims processing
      - Guide Claims staff on necessary medical documentation to evaluate function, restrictions, limitations, and expected duration

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school diploma required; nursing degree from an accredited institution required
      - Active RN license(s)
      - At least 2 years of direct clinical care experience in an acute care setting
      - Minimum 1 year of clinical consulting experience in a disability claims environment
      - Strong assessment, problem-solving, and care planning skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Understanding of CPT, ICD 9, and ICD 10 coding within claims contexts
      - Experience with short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), and a range of clinical impairments
      - Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
      - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office
