      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct clinically based concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records
      - Evaluate the utilization and documentation of acute care services
      - Facilitate accurate physician documentation to reflect patient severity of illness
      - Respond to requirements and requests from external payers or regulatory agencies
      - Contribute to reporting quality of care outcomes and ensuring compliant reimbursement

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or an International Medical Graduate
      - Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in an acute care setting; critical care, medical/surgical, or Emergency Department nursing preferred
      - Current RN license in the state of residence/practice
      - Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of pathology/physiology of disease processes
      - Excellent written and verbal communication skills and critical thinking abilities

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Working knowledge of inpatient admission criteria, Medicare reimbursement systems, and coding systems
      - Familiarity with the operation of basic office equipment
      - Ability to work independently in a time-oriented environment
