      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Perform post-discharge, final coded, pre-bill reviews of targeted records to ensure accurate documentation of patient acuity and severity of illness
      - Document findings within the CDI application and follow up on physician queries for completeness
      - Serve as a resource for CDI team members and respond to requests for concurrent chart reviews
      - Maintain summaries of identified opportunities for feedback and education with the CDI team
      - Participate in quality initiatives and collaborate with CDI leadership to optimize query templates

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 3 years of CDI experience as a concurrent reviewer
      - Diploma in Nursing or Health Information Management, Associate's, Bachelor's, or Doctorate Degree in a related field
      - Extensive clinical knowledge and understanding of pathology/physiology
      - Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify undocumented information supported by clinical indicators
      - Certification for Clinical Documentation Improvement (CCDS or CDIP) required upon hire

      - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
      - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
      - Familiarity with age-specific patient needs and disease processes
      - Up-to-date clinical and coding experience
