What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct clinical documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve documentation practices
- Provide education and training to staff on clinical documentation improvement
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to clinical documentation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher
- At least 3 years of experience in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI)
- Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare setting with a focus on clinical documentation
- Additional certifications in coding or documentation improvement
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Previous experience in educating healthcare staff
