What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate modifications to clinical documentation through interaction with physicians and healthcare team members
- Ensure appropriate clinical severity is captured for the level of service rendered to all inpatient customers
- Stay current with CMS rules and regulations and incorporate changes into daily practice
- Assist in the quality improvement processes by understanding organizational policies and procedures
- Provide clinical expertise and knowledge of complex disease processes

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota, or certified as RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCD
- RN with ICD-10 knowledge or inpatient coding experience or RHIT/RHIA with 5 years coding experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in organization, planning, and computer usage including database and spreadsheet analysis
- Knowledge of federal, state, and private payer regulations

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- ICD-10 coding experience
