What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Act as a consultant to healthcare disciplines for clinical educational information and systems issues
- Serve as a resource to clinical education system users and troubleshoot problems with applications
- Facilitate the use of information technology in system reporting, research, and administrative work processes
- Participate in policy review process for clinical documentation and learning management system
- Identify end-user knowledge and performance deficits through quality improvement tracking
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
- 5 years of clinical nursing experience with a minimum of two years using an EMR at the bedside, preferably EPIC
- Registered Nurse with current state licensure
- Ability to work in an environment exposed to blood-borne pathogens
- Physical ability to perform light work
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Magnet hospital status requirements
- Previous experience as a clinical informatics specialist
- Knowledge of clinical practice model vendor systems
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary informatics decision support workgroups
- Certification in Informatics Nursing
