- Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (Post Graduate Diploma level or above) with full BABCP accreditation and/or HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
- Formal Supervision training
- Qualification in delivering groups interventions (certificate from a recognized training organisation)
- Experience of working in an NHS Talking Therapies setting, or delivering treatment to primary care clients, liaising and consulting with GPs and community providers.
- Experience delivering group based interventions
- Experience of either managing or coordinating wait lists.
- Experience in developing services to respond to Service User needs.
- Excellence and experience in the continuous improvement of high and/or low intensity interventions and coordinating the services of a range of practitioners and providers, with experience of delivering this within primary care and or an NHS Talking Therapies compliant service
- Experience of providing an autonomous clinical service to a diverse population.
- Experience in managing and delivering to the expected performance targets.
- Excellence and experience in IT and diary management that support own and the service's clinical resources
- Work in a multi-cultural setting, including working with interpreters.
- Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
- Able to provide & receive complex, sensitive or contentious information in a highly emotive and sometimes hostile atmosphere, in a range of relationships and settings.
- Able to use highly specialist skills of empathy to overcome barriers to understanding and acceptance.

THTT is one of the leading national IAPT services and we are keen to recruit an experienced CBT Therapist / Clinical / Counselling Psychologist who will lead on the management, supervision and delivery of effective group-based interventions across modalities and steps of care and focus on maintaining clinical effectiveness and developing future delivery through a digital platform
Main duties of the job
The primary purpose of this role is to manage the clinical group service provision within Tower Hamlets Talking Therapies, by ensuring sufficient capacity; managing group waiting lists and reviewing and introducing new clinical group offers alongside pre- and post-therapy groups.
The role would be to lead on the delivery and supervision of group-based interventions across modalities and steps of care and focus on maintaining clinical effectiveness of groups through face to face and digital platforms. The role would need to ensure that group-based interventions are delivered in a client-oriented and culturally sensitive way.
