Job summary
We are looking for an experienced clinical lead Physiotherapist with an interest in Respiratory and Speciality Medicine to join the clinical leadership team for the Acute Therapy Team at University Hospital Dorset, (Bournemouth Site). This is a 12-month fixed term maternity cover role.

Main duties of the job
We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a 12 month fixed term, 0.8WTE Band 7 Clinical Lead Physiotherapy post specialising in Respiratory and Speciality Medicines (respiratory, endocrine, gastroenterology, cardiology and haematology) within the Acute Therapy Team at Bournemouth Hospital.
This is a fantastic opportunity where you will be encouraged and supported to develop your existing extended skills and advanced practice inSpeciality Medicines, whilst feeding into the management and direction of the wider Acute Therapy Team (covering Surgery, Intensive Care andthe Acute Medical Unit). You will be supported to develop Quality Improvement skills and lead projects to improve and develop the service so it isfit for the future.
This role will have a strong clinical focus and as such we are looking for a confident clinician who can develop skills within their team. A large proportion of this post will be working on the respiratory ward and the soon to be built, Respiratory Support Unit, providing expert clinical input to NIV patients and those with respiratory physiotherapy needs. This post holder will also need to build close links with the multidisciplinary team in the clinical area to ensure we continue to deliver excellent care to all patients and develop expertise in our workforce beyond therapy.
