Job summary
This is a new role for a progressive and forward thinking set of Practices, operating under the Affinity Care group.
The role is an exciting opportunity within Primary Care for an experienced nurse with management experience to progress to a level not always available in this sector.
There will be lots of support and collabrative work for the successful candidate, however you are expected to lead the nurse function across all sites, with approximately 40 nurses and HCAs under your leadership.
There is a requirement to work across all 8 sites. It is a full time job and you will need to be a driver with daily access to a car.
Due to this role being patient facing you are required to have had the Hep B vaccination and be up to date with all other vaccinations. We will require evidence of this.
Main duties of the job
Provide operational leadership across the nursing cohort.
Ensuring the team deliver the highest standards of care to our patients.
Meet all quality and performance targets.
Co-ordinate with other business leaders to provide a seamless service.

The Clinical Nurse Lead has operational responsibility for providing clinical, managerial and professional leadership in the running of the wider nursing team and is accountable for the delivery and standards of care provided to patient and ensuring safe effective person-centred care across Affinity Care.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction to the nursing team ensuring the delivery of effective and efficient nursing care.
Manage all resources within designated nursing team.
Achieve all quality and performance targets.
Promoting and achieving a culture of compliance with the infection prevention and control programme.
Organisation/Quality
Responsible for leading, developing and delivering high quality patient focused services within
areas of responsibility, ensuring the provision of safe and effective care, considering
clinical expertise as a significant part of the decision-making process.
To manage and lead the nursing resource for the Clinical Team within the parameters of the
NMC Code of Conduct and Affinity Cares governance standards and compliance
Requirements. And from an employment perspective, cover the interpretation and application of all employment policies and procedures ensuring that all staff are treated fairly and consistently,
Responsible for the development and implementation of operational plans and strategies,
designed to achieve local objectives in line with National targets.
To manage the nursing resource within the establishment, taking opportunities to realise efficiency gains through skill-mix and reductions in bank and agency usage, establishing and implementing a proactive monitoring system to manage performance in this area.
Responsibility for the interpretation, development and implementation of clinical and nonclinical policies pertaining to areas of responsibility liaising with other agencies as appropriate.
To manage and review the Clinical Risk by investigating and taking action on
clinical incidents and utilising root cause analysis where appropriate.
To implement and ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies, ensuring safe working
practice.
Ensure that a robust system for clinical supervision and professional governance and
revalidation is implemented for all nursing staff, who should be properly appraised with agreed
personal development plans.
Special Working Conditions
The postholder will be required to work across all sites at Affinity Care, in person. You may also be asked from time to time to be flexible in your working hours as per the needs of the practice.
