What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Relay reviewed normal, expected, or abnormal results to patients
- Manage large volumes of inbound calls while documenting and communicating medical information to providers
- Schedule appointments for patients and maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Communicate effectively to resolve issues with patients, providers, and insurance companies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Active certification or license as LPN, CMA, RMA, or EMT
- Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting related to the certification
- Understanding of OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations
- Strong communication skills for patient interaction and issue resolution
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with team members and medical staff
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a patient access or call center role within healthcare
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Bilingual skills to assist a diverse patient population
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of insurance processes and patient billing
