- Conduct comprehensive adult ASD diagnostic assessments in line with NICE guidance and best practice.
- Use recognised diagnostic tools and frameworks (e.g. ADOS-2, ADI-R, clinical interviews, collateral histories).
- Complete detailed developmental histories and psychosocial assessments.
- Formulate diagnostic conclusions and provide clear, evidence-based feedback to patients.
- Produce high-quality, timely diagnostic reports suitable for clinical, occupational, and statutory use.
- Ensure reports meet professional, ethical, and organisational standards.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in line with GDPR and HCPC requirements.
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, therapists, and administrative staff.
- Contribute to MDT discussions where required.
- Liaise with referrers and other professionals as appropriate.
- Adhere to HCPC standards of proficiency and professional conduct.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ASD assessment best practice.
- Participate in clinical audits, peer review, and supervision as required.
- - Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy or equivalent).
- - HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
- - Additional training or accreditation in ASD assessment tools (e.g. ADOS-2 reliability).
- - Demonstrable experience conducting adult ASD assessments.
- - Competence in the use of recognised diagnostic tools (e.g. ADOS-2).
- - Strong diagnostic formulation and report-writing skills.
- - Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- - Availability to conduct in-person assessments near Epping.
- - Experience working within private practice or neurodevelopmental services.
- - Familiarity with NICE guidelines for ASD in adults.
- - Experience providing post-diagnostic feedback or signposting.
