- Participates and assists in the preparation of quality committees, performance improvement projects, and other aspects of the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program as assigned
- Collect information based on applicable standards, state/federal or other regulations, internal requests, or project assignments
- Leverages available resources to improve quality measures
- Completes ad hoc reports as requested
- Work cross functionally and coordinate with others internally or externally to gather information; overcome challenges to obtaining needed information
- Manages assigned special projects to completion
- Analyzes and interprets data or information (e.g., clinical, administrative, Quality) to ensure they meet standards, are compliant and/or are accurate and complete
- Identify Quality improvement or intervention opportunities and work cross-functionally to develop interventions or recommendations
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives / meetings
- Assist with updating QI work plan
- Assist with updating QI program descriptions
- Assist with the completion of the annual QI program evaluation
- Undergraduate degree OR 2+ years of experience in quality or healthcare
- 2+ years of experience with documentation and reporting capabilities in Community Care and ICUE
- 1+ years of experience with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- 1+ years of experience in tracking, planning projects, working with data sets, and making data-driven decisions
- 1+ years of experience with demonstrated functional knowledge of process improvement and quality improvement
- Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Texas resident
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience with project management tools
- Knowledge of quality improvement methods and tool
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

We are looking for a seasoned health plan staff member who is looking to enter a role in Quality. This position is responsible for supporting clinical quality improvement and management programs. Responsible for the reporting and analysis of member care quality and for the development of plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement using HEDIS and other tools.
