What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with trial start-up activities and ensure compliance with the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
- Recruit, interview, and screen subjects for clinical trials while maintaining data integrity
- Coordinate patient visits, procedures, and schedules, including taking vital signs and drawing blood
- Enter and manage data from patient electronic medical records into study databases and internal trackers
- Organize research supply areas and coordinate study monitor/auditor visits
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or 3 years of relevant experience
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Competence in handling both PC and Macintosh systems
- Ability to perform job duties with or without accommodation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Major in Math or Biostatistics preferred; Bachelor of Arts or Science in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other Science fields
- Previous clinical and/or research experience highly preferred
- Basic medical experience, such as taking vital signs, is a plus
- Experience with Epic Health Information System or similar electronic systems
- Relevant certifications, such as CCRP, CCRA, phlebotomy, or medical assistant certification, are advantageous
