What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage financial processes for clinical trials, including budget development and negotiation
- Prepare invoices and supporting documentation for submission to sponsors and funding agencies
- Conduct Medicare coverage analysis for study-related charges
- Collaborate with contract attorneys, study sponsors, and research staff
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and maintain knowledge of relevant regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or healthcare-related field, or equivalent experience with more than 5 years in a related field
- 1 year of experience in billing, accounting, finance, budgeting, or financial analysis
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with clinical trial management systems (CTMS)
- Familiarity with the Code of Federal Regulations related to human research
- Previous involvement with pharmaceutical company sponsors or institutional research
- Knowledge of budget negotiation processes in clinical research
