Junior Cloud Data Platform Engineer
Glasgow
As a Barclays Junior Cloud Data Platform Engineer, you will be a key member in a cross-functional team developing products, APIs, and pipelines for enabling a modern and well-equipped Data Engineering landscape for our customers. You will have an exciting chance to ensure that security, governance, and controls are at the forefront for rapid data product development.

What will you be doing?• Implementing infrastructure to support data engineering roadmaps
• Developing enterprise ready products and API’s
• Deploying enterprise ready products and API’s
• Contributing hands on development of all technical products
• Working closely across different teams
• Working with team members to ensure that the best technical decisions are madeWhat we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s in computer science or related field
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or Spark
• Cloud Platforms experience
• Wide interest in Data Ops
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Significant evidence of data engineering work
• Solid grasp of data products and data strategy/data pipelines
