      Analyst, Citigroup

      CMBS and Real Estate Finance

      Position Background:

      Citigroup is looking for an Analyst to join the Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (“CMBS”) Securitization team within the CMBS and Real Estate Finance group.

      Roles and Responsibilities:

      The candidate will be involved in all aspects of real estate capital markets transactions, including but not limited to the primary issuance of both private label conduit and single-asset, single-borrower (“SASB”) transactions, Agency CMBS, and CRE CLOs. Through on-the-job training, their role will evolve as they learn the various products and are ready to take on additional responsibility.

      Responsibilities:

      • Assist with all real estate capital markets activities, primarily the securitization of Citigroup’s commercial mortgage loans, and on transactions where Citi serves as a placement agent on behalf of other CMBS issuers
      • Help prepare structural and collateral term sheets, prospectus supplements, and other CMBS offering documents
      • Coordinate the tracking of securitization documentation while working with accountants and legal counsel to ensure compliance with company lending practices, the accuracy and completeness of information, and the finalization of CMBS offering materials
      • Provide analytical support to the securitization team and be accountable for the aggregation, accuracy, and reporting of data used for the securitization of commercial mortgage loans
      • Prepare data tapes and various mortgage loan schedules used by CMBS investors and nationally recognized statistical rating organizations (“NRSROs”)
      • Respond to CMBS investor and NRSRO queries
      • Manage and maintain transaction data rooms containing due diligence files used by CMBS investors, NRSROs, accountants, legal counsel, and investment banking teams
      • Responsible for the aggregation and reporting of information relating to the CMBS market, commercial real estate trends, and published NRSRO data

      Desired Skills and Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate or Finance
      • 0-2 years of commercial real estate experience
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Ability to function in a team-oriented setting
      • Attention to detail
      • Ability to function under tight deadlines
      • Strong desire to learn the real estate capital markets business
