CNA Student Opportunity at The Barrington of Carmel

Are you aspiring to launch a rewarding career in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)? The Barrington of Carmel invites dedicated individuals to join our CNA Training Program, offering a comprehensive two-week training course and three weeks of hands-on clinical experience.

Program Overview:

• Training Course: CNA students will participate in a comprehensive training course weekdays from January 8th to January 17th, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The training will take place at our sister community, Hoosier Village. Studying at home will be required to succeed in the course.
• First Hands-on Practice: On January 18th and January 19th, students will practice their new skills on patients for the first time under the guidance of the class instructor. Hours may vary.
• Scheduling: Upon successful completion of the training course, students will have the opportunity to select their CNA schedules based on their performance in the class. While a full-time position is not guaranteed, we strive to accommodate our students to the best of our ability.

• Clinical Hours: Students will complete at least 75 hours of clinical training at The Barrington of Carmel from January 22nd to February 9th. During this period, students will work one-on-one with experienced CNAs, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a supportive environment. Your clinical hours will be comprised of 12-hour shifts about three days a week, from 7 AM to 7 PM, and include weekends.

• Must be dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic about pursuing a career in healthcare, particularly in long-term care.

• Must be able to pass a basic reading and math comprehension test which will be administered by HR during the interview process.
