- Req#: CNCMA005790
- Set-up, load CNC programs and make necessary edits.
- Run various types of CNC equipment.
- Verify First Article inspections for machinists.
- Print out the foreman’s report and update the production board daily.
- Work with planning to ensure priority jobs are scheduled.
- Meet daily with the managers on efficiency and fill out efficiency data reports.
- Update the GEMBA board daily.
- Responsible for loading and updating CNC programs.
- Allocate jobs and equipment based on production needs.
- Other job duties may be added as required.
- Lead/Supervise Operators
- Report to Machine Manager on daily basis
- Minimum 5 years of CNC set-up experience or evidence of mastery
- Completion of a recognized CNC machining course or understanding of CNC programming
- Computer familiarity
- Ability to lift 40 pounds

The shop lead is responsible for overseeing their team. They also ensure the quality and quantity of the work put out by the shop employees. The shop lead will manage the daily work of their shop and train machinists to assist with setups. He/She will work with the production scheduling team and update the production board daily. It is the responsibility of the shop lead to load and update the CNC programs per our current processes.
