CNN International Productions Intern: ATL - Spring 2024
Working with Associate Producers and Producers to find the most visually compelling elements to tell the day
Editing video and sound bites, creating photo strings, and developing graphics
Attending show team meetings and pitching stories and guests to show teams and planning team
Working with our international content unit (ICU) on in-house package production
Contact prospective guests for live shows
Handle logistics to facilitate guest appearances
Conduct research and pre-interviews for use in show segments
Make clips of interviews after they air
Nurture relationships with new and established network guests
Research, pitch, plan, and put together stories, segments, and programs on topics including: travel, business, African culture, conservation, and innovation
Work with a team that produces, writes, and creates original feature pieces for broadcast and online audiences
Learn about the technology and systems used in news and features production for digital, television, and social content

Available to work in office in our Atlanta bureau for at least 2-3 days/week.

Ability to discuss the latest developments of top stories covered by CNN
Strong communication and writing skills
Shows initiative and asks questions
Well-organized
Keen interest in telling engaging stories to a global audience
Understanding of international cultures and trends
Awareness of basic editing, shooting and production skills
A great attitude and willingness to learn
Must be actively enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older)
Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)

Additional language skills (speaks a second language) or studied abroad
Solid working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro
Journalism major or journalism experience

These internships will be located in the ATL area. The selected interns will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern managers' in office schedule.

About Our Internship Program
WBD's Internship Program is designed to nurture students professionally and personally. The duration of the program is 11 weeks
Program dates:
Start Date: January 29th
End Date: April 19th
Interns will be expected to work 16-24 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
Interviewing will take place from October through mid-December. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
