      Responsibilities

      Tasks

      • Coordinate competitive programs
      • Develop well planned competitive schedules and programs
      • Plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions
      • Motivate and prepare athletes or teams for competitive events or games
      • Participate in coaching clinic instruction
      • Analyze and evaluate athletes' or team's performance
      • Observe and evaluate prospective athletes' skills and performance
      • Supervise staff or team
      • Select and purchase equipment and supplies
      • Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
      • Leading/instructing groups
      • Develop and manage programs and services
      • Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques
      • Conduct safety training programs
      • Coaching
      • Assist with coordination of recreational, sport and fitness events
      • Maintain and repair sports equipment
      • Leading/instructing individuals
      • Provide technical and professional advice
      • Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities
      • Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required
      • Participate in provincial and/or national competitions and sporting events
      • Participate in local and regional competitions and sporting events
