What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct clinical quality audits/overreads for the Quality Department
- Identify and report issues related to clinical audits for quality improvement
- Collect data through chart extraction for the Healthcare Effectiveness and Data Information Set (HEDIS) program
- Perform chart audits electronically during the audit season
- Maintain confidentiality of all collected records and communicate effectively with staff
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Technical certification/licensure in Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse upon hire
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of medical record audit experience and electronic medical records (EMR) proficiency
- At least 2 years of HEDIS, quality management, or utilization review auditing experience
- 1 year of experience in the medical field as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare-related field, or Health Information Management
- Experience with health plans, project management, data analysis, and/or case review
