What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and implement coding quality assurance programs to ensure accuracy and compliance of medical coding practices
- Analyze medical records and documentation to assess completeness and specificity for assigned codes
- Deliver coding education and training programs to enhance coding knowledge among staff
- Identify opportunities to streamline coding workflows and enhance efficiency
- Establish key quality metrics to monitor and track coding accuracy and compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in Medical Billing and Coding
- 5-7 years of Medical Coding experience
- Strong knowledge of medical coding systems, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
- Excellent understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 1-2 years of Quality Assurance experience in coding
- Advanced communication skills for effective interaction with healthcare providers
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
