      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Code diagnostic and procedural information from medical records using ICD and CPT/HCPCS classification systems
      - Sequence diagnoses and procedures according to established guidelines and compliance standards
      - Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure quality coding and documentation
      - Enter and verify patient information in computerized medical record databases
      - Maintain productivity requirements and achieve a minimum accuracy rate of 96%

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum required education: Completion of a Health Information Management program with AHIMA approval or a coding program with AAPC
      - 4+ years of recent experience coding in an acute hospital setting
      - Certification in RHIA or RHIT and CCS or CIC is required
      - Ability to demonstrate coding proficiency through a skills assessment
      - Must exhibit excellent customer relations and communication skills
