What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review medical records thoroughly to abstract and code physician professional services and diagnosis codes
- Ensure adherence to Official Guidelines for assigning CPT and ICD10 codes with a minimum of 95% accuracy
- Provide feedback on documentation to physicians and maintain coding reference information
- Collaborate with Patient Accounting and PB Billing to resolve incorrect claim issues
- Meet established coding productivity and quality standards for various encounter types

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in a relevant role
- Minimum of 94% accuracy on the organization's coding test

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a Health Information Management program accredited by CAHIIM
- Previous experience with physician coding
